TRIVA | TRIPLAN celebrates 80th anniversary
1946 - 2021
2026 is a special year for Triva / Triplan. This year we celebrate our 80th anniversary.
During the past 80 years we have transformed from a traditional black smith to become a digitalized and top modern manufacturer of glazed partitioning and structural sections. For 80 years we have developed quality products and expanded our areas of competence and we plan on continuing this.
Recently, we have been focusing on moving the company from its location in Ishøj to newly built larger facilities in the new Business Park East of Ringsted. It has been challenging to relocate an entire factory while also fulfilling numerous orders, and it has succeeded thanks to our strong sense of unity and joint effort, of which the entire Triplan is very proud. We can therefore look forward even more to celebrating our anniversary in completely new surroundings.
Founded 1946
It wasn´t easy 80 years ago when TRIVA was founded right after the years of German occupation. The post-war years suffered from a great shortage of goods and materials, which is why you had to organize and manufacture your own raw materials and tools with ingenuity and craftsmanship.
Triva was founded in January 1946 by the three young sheet metal workers, Erling Jensen, Louis Jensen and Aage Andersen as owners and partners. All three are trained at Vølund blacksmith and machine factory, which produces industrial washing machines and uses oiled and stainless steel sheets for this production.
Surprisingly, Triva comes into possession of a stack of third-class plate batches, which is used to produce Triva's first product: a children's spade. In February 1946, the local hardware store places the first order with Triva for a batch of children’s spades. It turns into more than 1,000 pieces, and with that, Triva is underway.

80 years with focus on quality
Today, Triplan, introduced as a brand in 1988, is still a family-owned company with a state-of-the-art production plant. All our products are produced in Denmark by specialized employees. We supply all kinds of structural sections and glazed walls for some of the most prestigious buildings.
All production takes place at Triplan's own factory, where much has happened since the company's three founders turned on the switch to the first rollforming machine. Today we have a modern machine park with robots and fully automatic rollforming and packing machines and a CAD-controlled cutting plant. All to make production efficient and ensure that it can be maintained in Denmark.
80 years with skilled employees
We celebrate with the anniversary the pioneering spirit and the innovative solutions that have characterized Triva, and later Triplan, and which have created the success story that Triplan is today.
For Triplan, the anniversary is also an opportunity to reflect on the path that we will take in the future. And there is no doubt - we must continue to develop the company and that in a more sustainable direction. With environmental product declarations, focus on sustainable production and as little waste as possible. All this is supported by our competent staff of employees, who together with our modern production plant form the backbone of Triplan.
That is why we have also chosen to have our new headquarters sustainably certified with a DGNB Silver certification. We are already pre-certified and can look forward to receiving the final certification within the next six months. We are proud of our new factory and the accompanying administrative offices, which now perfectly represent Triplan's positive development: Solar panels on the factory roof, reuse of kitchen facilities and other furnishings, recycled furniture and carpets made from used fishing nets, and last but not least, a good indoor climate.
